My little girl loves this toy - the noise quality is lovely, it’s durable and excellent value for money.The width and length of it means it’s easy for her to hold and turn upside down without it being too heavy. It’s also not hurt her when she’s dropped it on herself so big win there!

Looks so lovely, makes a lovely sound. My baby loves this, it’s fun and eye catching. Great size, not heavy, worth the price. Even I enjoy playing with this! I saw it used in a baby music class and had to get one for myself.

This product catches the attention of my twin grandchildren as soon as they hear the noise the beads make. The colourful beads are attractive for children to look at. Excellent quality and value for money

This has been a complete hit, a great sensory toy purchased for our 8 month old - she loved it at the time and has loved it as a toddler. Something interested for them to sit and listen to and watch as they get used to moving it up and down

This is a hit with most babies! We discovered our daughter liked it pretty early on at baby sensory and it’s a definite favourite. The only snag is that the one at our sensory group has spirals for the beads to fall down. This perhaps takes more shaking?

Bought as a Christmas gift for our 4 month old who is mesmerised by the movement and the sound of the beads. It has been a welcome addition to our collection musical instruments. Our 3 year old has also enjoyed playing with it on her own and with her sister. Would buy again for gifts etc. Lovely item. Never disappointed with Halilit products.

The balls don't flow freely due static so you have to shake it quite a lot. Disappointing as I bought it after seeing the same one at a playgroup and that one worked fine, so I guess they're a bit hit and miss. Packaging wasn't great so arrived a bit scratched, I'm glad it wasn't for a gift as it isn't great, but does keep my son interested.Update: I washed it and the balls were no longer static and now flow well. This lasted a long time but was easily fixed when the static built up again. It has lasted a few years of use by two children now.

UPDATE: have washed this and can confirm the balls are no longer static and flow much smoother now.The balls in this don't flow freely and stick to the sides, needs shaking which kind of ruins the toy. Not what i was expecting really and also not in a box so the plastic was marked too. Bought two (one as a present) and both the same. Don't want to give the gift to its intended recipient as looks poor.

When my baby was 11 weeks old, I took him to a baby osteopath to see if she could reduce his fussiness and crying. While she was doing her treatment, she handed me this toy and told me that it's like magic with the babies she treats. I was so amazed at the attention my normally-distracted baby paid to the toy that I immediately opened the Amazon app and ordered one for home. It does not disappoint. He loves the sound and has started to focus on the beads moving inside.

This rainmaker toy was recommended by friends to my son and daughter in law when the latter were having trouble settling their few-week old baby after night feeds -apparently it was the only soother that had worked on the friends' baby, and indeed it worked like a charm for many months on our granddaughter also. Now a different son is expecting his first baby, and we've included this purchase in a 'night survival kit' for the new parents, (comprising also snacks, hot chocolate sachets and a flask). It seems many families have found the rainbomaker toy to be a magic soother - it's a very gentle, rushing sound, not in the least bit clattery.

Bought as a gift for a friend with a one year old boy. Nice toy, baby seems to like it. Only criticism is that it doesn't come in its own box, only an elastic band around the toy with a label on.

I originally bought this for my first niece a couple of years ago for Christmas. Now I have another niece & a nephew who will be getting this for Christmas this year. I've just got the first one for my niece & will be ordering my nephew's in a couple of weeks. Both so far have been really good quality, colourful & excellent value for money. I'm sure my nephew's will be as well. And any other little ones who come into my life will also get one too.

Both myself and my baby love this rainmaker. Its brightly coloured to attract attention and the beads inside cause such a lovely ''rain'' noise. My baby finds it fascinating to watch and play with. Her face lights up as soon as she hears it and it soothes her when she is upset. Its an amazing thing to see! Definately recommend to and new parent and the price is good too :-)

I think this is a great variation on the much longer Rainmaker as we used to call them. Having worked for years with pre-school children who loved them, but couldn't control turning them very well, I think this size is great for little ones. The beads don't have the momentum to all descend without a shake, but my 15 month old grandson usually turns or shakes it before then anyway, so it would only be seen as a problem by an adult! I would imagine, by about 4 years, the larger size would be better, but this would still make a fascinating 'shaker'.
